1998 Comme des Garcons Desconstructed two piece Coat
Inspired by deconstructing victorian tailoring this coat is a masterwork of design. There are technically two garments here, each with one sleeve, wearable separately but together making a coat. The internal layer is constructed of cotton and tailor's buckram. The buckram is woven with horsehair and traditionally used to provide the under structure to tailored garments, not meant to be seen yet here it is celebrated. Sized a small however our form is a 4 and the jacket is loose on her and we believe this coat will fit up to a modern 8.
