1920s Paisley Wool Blouse
Here a Victorian paisley shawl has been utilized to construct this blouse. The teens and early 1920s were a time where people were falling back in love with history and historical dress. This led to the re-use of older textiles and laces re-built into more contemporary garments. Much like you see all those ugly 1990s secretary dresses cut into sexy minis today. The seamstress on this blouse did a beautiful job. Maintaining the integrity of the shawl in the utilization of the fringe along the hem.
