This bias cut gown is in wonderful vintage condition. All in all it is in quite fantastic wearable condition. It is an interesting cut in that the top of the dress has been pin tucked in large pleats that add body and structure to the soft chiffon. This gives a wider shoulder line more in tune with the later half of the 1930s than the slinky cut of the body, dating this dress right to about 1935. Structure aside this dress is weightless, less than a pound even. Designed to float about effortlessly across the dance floor we are sure one could get into much more than dancing in this dress. Perhaps even worn as a negligee.
