This high waisted jacket from French Couturier Jean Patou is meant to highlight the streamlined figure of the 1930s. Balancing off the full hem of the gown with wondrous taffeta wings. Today it is such a cool piece you could wear it a myriad of ways. Here we've shown it by itself so that you can really see the piece. The collar ,which one can pull up to avert an evening breeze, has been ruched up and corded. The ruching gives it a body and texture which allows it to stand on it's own with no additional interior construction. This technique has been used down the back of the piece for added detail. The front has three large decorative self fabric buttons.
Designer: JEAN PATOU.
