Row after row of soft net ruffles cascade along this skirt from the most romantic era in dressing. Each ruffle is then decorated with either embroidery or silk ribbon with a slight train to the back of the skirt. A true beauty. There are a few holes here and there in the net however the textiles are not dry rot and the piece has been recently washed assuring us that it is strong and in wearable condition. A new waistband has been added using antique fabric and can be sewn with hooks to variable sizes.
Decade: 1890s, 1910s.
