The lace on this asymmetrically designed dress is to die! Wow, we don't come across this heavy lace often and this dress is made entirely of it. There are actually a few different styles of lace here, all balanced in their uniform over scaled design. The dress is designed asymmetrically, an early step away from Victorian pomp. The avant-garde design of its day lead the way for Poiret's creations around the same time. Women coming out of the Belle Epoch wanted more drama away from all the fussy delicate things they were wearing. This dress we are sure didn't disappoint.
