Kenzo Takada takes the 1970s Russian Bohemian trend to the hilt with this epic ensemble. The silk taffeta skirt and jacket are trimmed with miles of ribbons. A wild abandonment from the stark minimalism of the late 1960s. Kenzo's plans for Paris were ones of exotic travels. Upon taking in the shillouette however the viewer sees that this is not merely another re-interpreted ethnic costume. Kenzo's Japanese roots can be seen clearly in the architectural shape to the jacket, and linear placement of the ribbons to the skirt. That said the peplum on this jacket looks killer with black skinny pants. The skirt as well works beautifully on it's own. Wether you choose to wear the full look or not, you are bound to enjoy this ensemble on your own travels across this globe.
