A dream of a dress in a dream of condition. Additionally it is a real showcase of some amazing talent in both design and execution. First lets talk about the bodice. It is of a very fine and very strong net, which at first appears to be cotton however may well indeed be silk. It has them lovingly been heavily embroideries in bouquets of modernist flowers and branches. Motifs not taken from a book most likely as every flower appears to be different. The sleeves and skirt, which is cut in a circle, are attached by hand and are in phenomenal condition, the silk retaining it's bounce and hand. The neckline and cuffs are done in a variation of filét lace with buttonhole stitching on top of the flowers to give it added depth and texture. Coming together in an effortless look which is surely a museum worthy piece.
