"Fashion is an opportunity to be chic, to conspire between reality and desire." -Louis Feraud
Actress and style icon, Brigitte Bardot, unknowingly helped launch designer Louis Feraud to new heights. When she purchased one of his dresses in his Cannes boutique his name became well known in fashion. Feraud often described himself as an admirer of women and designed with the hope to inspire women to live a sensual, uninhibited. His early designs were strikingly mod but later softened to more gypsy like silhouettes.
Feraud designed both ready to wear and couture and continually appealed to many celebrity clients. Feraud designed custom gowns for Paulette Goddard, Kim Novak, Catherine Deneuve, and Mireille Mathieu. He had an expert team of colorists and stylists that aided Feraud in mapping out current and upcoming trends to ensure the line always looked fresh.
